DESIGN AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MICROFILMS LOADED WITH AZITHROMYCIN
The modification of the mythology used to design the various drug delivery system to maintain controlled drug release. These azithromycin drugs are orally administered for the past few years. The DDS is implemented by the micro sponge. These micro sponges protects the drug compounds which contains patent, polymeric and porous microspheres and the size ranges from 5-300nm in diameter. The excessive amount of the drug is removed by the microsponges and decreases allergic reactions while there is no change in efficacy. The preparation of azithromycin oral film microsponges as it is a rapid, easy, consistent method and has an advantage of nullifying solvent toxicity. It was observed that as drug: polymer ratio increased, particle size decreased. This is likely due to the fact that at higher relative drug content, the amount of polymer available per microsponge to encapsulate the drug becomes less, thus reducing the thickness of the polymer wall and hence, smaller microspon
