155DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF VORICONAZOLE BUCCAL PATCHES USING NATURAL POLYMERSBioadhesive drug delivery is critical for localised medication distribution in the oral cavity because it retains the drug at the site of action. The adhesive substance might be natural or synthetic. Mucoadhesive polymers are extremely useful for buccal drug administration. Numerous mucoadhesive forms have been developed recently, including patches, films, discs, strips, ointments, tablets, and gels. Buccal patches, on the other hand, offer greater flexibility and comfort than other types. Additionally, buccal patches can solve issues such as a short residence time, similar to that of gels, which are easily washed away by saliva. The purpose of this study is to design, produce, and analyse Voriconazole buccal patches using natural polymers for improved release. Formulations containing varying concentrations of polymers ranging from F1 to F6 were prepared and all formulations were evaluated for parameters such as physical appearance, flatness, weight variation, thickness, folding endurance, surface PH, drug content, moisture uptake, moisture content, and swelling study; all results were found to be within pharmacopoeia limits. The dialysis membrane is used to conduct in vitro drug release experiments.
