patients. Rapid development of captopril fast dissolving tablets (FDTs) will improve patient adherence especially within pediatric
and elderly groups because these populations struggle to take standard tablet medications. This review investigates the diverse
strategies and additives along with processing methods which researchers applied for developing and testing captopril FDTs. The
development of captopril fast dissolving tablets utilizes three main production techniques which combine direct compression with
sublimation and lyophilization alongside superdisintegrant use of crospovidone and sodium starch glycolate and croscarmellose
sodium to generate prompt disintegration and dissolution properties. The evaluation process requires examination of parameters
before compression takes place. As an alternative dosage form captopril FDTs provide better drug availability together with
convenience to patients and improved adherence levels. The therapeutic potential of captopril will receive increased optimization
through contemporary formulation science innovations in delivery systems.
<Email>suriyams5731@gmail.com</Email><articletype>Research</articletype><volume>15</volume><issue>2</issue><year>2025</year><keyword>Tablet, Captopril, Heart, Rapid</keyword><AUTHORS>Suriya Kumar MS*, Mullaikodi O, Rajalingam D, Gnanasekar N, Kannabiran V</AUTHORS><afflication>Suriya Kumar MS*, Mullaikodi O, Rajalingam D, Gnanasekar N, Kannabiran V</afflication></Article></Articles>
